Vintage Kimono
These items are one of a kind. Each Kimono has a different sizing, pattern and fit. There items have not been changed and still in their original style. Please take care as each item will vary.
Reworked Kimono
These vintage kimono have been modernized from their original style. Depending on the item, they may have had the length or arms shortened. Please take care as each item will vary.
Sizing
These are vintage and second-hand Kimono, so sizing it limited. Traditionally Kimono length was to the height of the woman, in which the length would drape on the floor unless tucked into her Obi (belt).
On each item listed is the length of the Kimono from the nape of the neck, the width across the bust and an approximate equivalent NZ women's size. Bear in mind the width across the bust will depend on whether you are wanting to close and tie the robe or wear it open.
Shipping
We currently ship across New Zealand only through NZ Courierd, which can take 2-4 business days to arrive. We can not deliver to a PO Box.
Returns & Exchanges
Every piece at Vintage Drama is one-of-a-kind, carefully chosen and decades in the making. Small imperfections, light fading, or signs of previous wear are part of their history — not flaws, but proof of authenticity.
Because our garments are unique and often cannot be replaced, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, wrong fit, or personal preference.
Please review all photos, descriptions, and measurements carefully before purchasing, and contact us if you’d like extra details prior to checkout — we’re happy to help.
Item Condition
All items are inspected before dispatch. Minor vintage wear is to be expected and will be described where relevant. If an item arrives significantly different from its description or damaged in transit, please contact us within 3 days of delivery so we can review your case.
Eligibility for Return (if approved)
If a return is accepted after assessment:
The item must be returned within 7 days of approval.
It must be in the same condition received — unworn, unwashed, and with all original tags and packaging.
Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility unless the fault lies with us.
Refunds
Once the item is received and inspected, we’ll confirm the outcome by email. Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method.
Please note: Shipping fees are non-refundable.
